Mahogany Trees after ONE year
Valuable Mahogany trees thriving in one of our sponsored protected micro-farms. These were planted as saplings just ONE year ago!

Friends, Another reason to feel great about all those shoe donations: We continue to see enormous participation, and your amazing generosity directly impacts the expansion of our Reforestation projects. Just over the past month alone, we have received enough donated shoes to fund 5 new nurseries in 5 protected school compounds – each with 12,000 seedlings/saplings! Over the next ten years, these 60,000 trees will create millions of dollars in estimated value (fruit and hardwoods) while also removing over 14,000 TONS of carbon. So much can be done with so little. Thank you!

We hope you are taking care of yourselves and those around you. Incredibly, despite the pandemic, we continue to receive thousands of pairs of donated used athletic shoes each week. Our current ONE MILLION TREE project in Ghana is ahead of schedule. We have established 30 nurseries in 30 protected school compounds – each with 12,000 saplings. We are also currently distributing an additional 40,000 income-producing saplings to isolated villages. Our self-sustaining agroforestry model has been accepted in many of these schools as part of their curriculum, and because of its success, many more schools are looking to adopt our program. Our goal is still to reach 100 protected school compounds/nurseries – each with at least 10,000 trees. That equals 1 million trees! Thank you for your continued support! Dear Friends, Despite the Pandemic, progress in Ghana continues. 30 schools now have a nursery with 12,000 saplings each. The MORE program is becoming part of their curriculum. Please read our new 20-page children’s book that explains exactly what is happening in Ghana. Thank you for all your support across the last 12 years and ask you to stay safe.
